INGLEWOOD, California - Spain coach Luis de la Fuente immediately tempered expectations following a commanding 3-0 victory over Austria, warning that complacency is the team's biggest adversary in the World Cup.

Mikel Oyarzabal secured a brace, and Pedro Porro added a goal as the defense recorded yet another clean sheet, preventing Austria from registering a single shot on target. Despite the flawless group stage record, De la Fuente insisted the team has not peaked.

“The image of the team was fabulous, but there is still room for improvement. This team has not yet reached its capabilities,” De la Fuente stated, asserting that “satisfaction can kill you.”

The coach highlighted left-back Marc Cucurella as “invaluable” after he provided two critical assists. With the knockout phase looming, De la Fuente stressed that the performance must serve only as a foundation for much higher standards ahead.
