Sudan's government has issued a strong denunciation of Uganda for hosting Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, the leader of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Sudan's foreign ministry labeled the meeting an "affront to humanity" and a violation of international law.

The RSF commander, also known as Hemedti, met with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni in Entebbe. Museveni, who is mediating the conflict, stated he emphasized a peaceful political solution.

Sudan's foreign ministry condemned the reception of Dagalo, calling him the commander of a "terrorist militia." The ministry asserted that while Uganda has the right to host visitors, this specific instance contravened international legal standards. Uganda's government has not yet responded to these accusations.

The civil war in Sudan, a power struggle between the regular army and the RSF, has raged for nearly three years. It has resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths, displaced over 13 million people, and created widespread famine. Both factions have faced accusations of committing atrocities.
