US forces conducted strikes against Iran for a fourth consecutive day on Tuesday, targeting capabilities used to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

US President Donald Trump escalated his warnings, stating that power plants and bridges could be targeted next week if Tehran fails to negotiate a deal. US Central Command announced the reimposition of a naval blockade on Iran's ports, effective immediately.

"American forces remain vigilant, lethal, and ready," CENTCOM stated.

Iranian state media reported explosions near the port city of Bandar Abbas and on Qeshm Island. The renewed blockade effectively ended a temporary pause in conflict that had been arranged for peace talks.

In retaliation, Iran hit two ships in the Strait, killing two crew members. Iran's Revolutionary Guards also claimed missile and drone strikes on targets in Bahrain, including a residential building for US forces. Jordan reported intercepting four Iranian missiles.

Trump scrapped a previously announced 20% fee on ships transiting the Strait, replacing it with what he described as trade and investment deals with Gulf allies.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, speaking from Dimona, issued a direct warning to Iranian leaders against attacking Israel, promising a "decisive blow" in response.
