Jake Rosmarin, a passenger from the MV Hondius cruise ship, posted video from his quarantine room at the National Quarantine Unit at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

The room includes a wall-mounted hand sanitizer, a thermometer, and a stationary bike. Rosmarin says he feels well and has not tested positive for hantavirus.

Health officials are monitoring passengers after potential exposure to Andes virus, a hantavirus variant. The public risk remains low.

Of the 18 individuals transported to the U.S., 16 are in Nebraska and two are in Atlanta. One person remains in a biocontainment unit. Officials may release passengers before the 42-day monitoring period ends if they remain symptom-free and can isolate at home.

Andes virus does not spread easily, requiring prolonged close contact with a symptomatic individual.
