Romano, whose mother beat cancer and whose father did not, stated that her results were not negative. She is now preparing for a PET scan to further assess the situation. The actress mentioned she has been navigating insurance coverage for the procedure.
Visibly emotional, Romano also reflected on the passing of actor James Van Der Beek, who died after a colorectal cancer diagnosis. She emphasized the pervasive nature of cancer and her personal commitment to facing this challenge, especially for her two daughters.
She described this as a "very vulnerable time" and is focusing on faith and taking life "a day at a time," while also looking forward to the release of her memoir.
