Lillian Sze, a multilingual television host in Hong Kong, has died from ovarian cancer, shortly after announcing her diagnosis on social media on June 21.

Despite her illness, Sze remained positive, expressing a desire to donate her body for medical research to help future students. Known for her work on ViuTV and hosting events for South Korean and Thai celebrities, her health declined rapidly following the discovery of a 10cm tumor that had grown to 17cm.

After undergoing surgery in February, Sze faced complications that required further procedures and stoma care. She initially shared her treatment journey on social media, creating the “Lillian’s diary on fighting cancer” hashtag, which resonated with many.

Tributes poured in following her death, with admirers celebrating her joyful spirit. Ovarian cancer remains a significant health issue among women in Hong Kong, with rising statistics highlighting its impact.
