Mirae Asset Securities has launched MAPS, a unified trading platform combining stocks and crypto, through its Hong Kong unit. The South Korean financial giant targets global retail investors who want to trade both asset classes from a single app.

The platform's launch in Hong Kong is strategic, offering regulatory clarity and access to sophisticated investors. Founding Chairman Park Hyeon-joo personally attended the launch event.

MAPS is part of Mirae Asset's broader "Vision 3.0" strategy to expand services for overseas retail investors. The company plans to roll out the platform in the United States, Japan, and Singapore.

As South Korea's largest independent financial group, Mirae Asset's move puts it in direct competition with both crypto-native platforms and other traditional finance firms building similar integrated services.
