Prosper AI has secured a $30 million Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, aiming to automate healthcare's administrative phone-call tasks. The round welcomed new investor Base10, along with support from Emergence Capital, Y Combinator, and Company Ventures.
Healthcare administration in the US incurs an estimated $450 billion annually on non-clinical tasks, including appointment scheduling and insurance verification. Prosper AI's voice-based agents are designed to tackle these cumbersome workflows, integrating seamlessly with existing electronic health records (EHR) and revenue-cycle management (RCM) systems.
In just nine months, Prosper AI scaled from a $5 million seed round to this substantial Series A funding. The company reports fivefold revenue growth, managing workflows for over 150,000 physicians and achieving an 80% success rate in competitive assessments. Founders Xavier de Gracia and Josep Mingot, with experience in medical practices and product development, plan to use funds to bolster their engineering and customer support teams.
