The head of the UN health agency says there is "no sign" of a larger hantavirus outbreak after the last passengers were evacuated from the disease-stricken cruise ship MV Hondius. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned the situation could change, noting the virus's long incubation period may yield more cases.

The MV Hondius left Tenerife, Spain, Monday and is sailing to Rotterdam, Netherlands. The final 28 passengers landed in Eindhoven Tuesday. Three people have died after traveling on the ship. An American and a French national who returned home tested positive, bringing the total to seven confirmed cases.

Twelve hospital employees in Nijmegen are quarantined after possible exposure while treating an evacuated passenger. Ghebreyesus stressed the work to contain the outbreak is not over.
