A new wellness trend is sweeping parts of the United States: the self-injection of peptides. These chemical compounds are promoted by bodybuilders, fitness influencers, and early adopters in Silicon Valley, promising enhanced recovery, youthful skin, and muscle growth.

Popular peptides like BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu, and ipamorelin are championed on social media and within certain health movements. However, most have limited clinical evidence to support their advertised health benefits.

The core issue is the lack of robust data. There is little reliable information on their effectiveness for healing injuries, improving libido, or building muscle. Even less is known about their long-term safety profile, as they exist in a largely unregulated market.
