MIAMI - Kimi Antonelli continues to rewrite the Formula One record books. The 19-year-old Italian prodigy won the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday, taking his third consecutive victory from pole position and stretching his championship lead to 20 points.

Antonelli becomes the youngest driver ever to lead the F1 standings, and the first to win his first three career races from the top spot on the grid. He also made history as the first driver in five editions of the Miami race to win from the front row.

“This is just the beginning, the road is still long,” Antonelli said after crossing the finish line 3.2 seconds ahead of McLaren’s Lando Norris at Hard Rock Stadium. “We are working super hard and the team is doing an incredible job.”

Norris, winner of Saturday’s sprint race, held a three-second lead at one point but lost out after pit stops. Antonelli pitted first for fresh tires, then emerged ahead when Norris came in one lap later.

“How did we not win this? We should have won guys,” Norris said over team radio after the checkered flag. “We just got undercut - no excuses other than that.”

McLaren’s Oscar Piastri, last year’s winner, completed the podium. Antonelli’s teammate George Russell finished fourth, while Red Bull’s Max Verstappen recovered from a first-lap spin to take fifth. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc placed sixth, followed by Lewis Hamilton in seventh.

Antonelli now leads the championship with 100 points. Russell has 80, Leclerc 63, and Norris 51.
