Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke was arrested in Arkansas on Wednesday on charges including drug trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and speeding.
Clarke, a seven-year NBA veteran, has been sidelined for the 2025-26 season due to a knee surgery and calf strain. The Grizzlies confirmed he was still rehabbing when the arrest occurred.
He was drafted 21st overall by the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2019 and traded to Memphis, where he earned All-Rookie Second Team honors in 2019-20. Clarke has played 309 games, averaging 10.2 points and 5.5 rebounds.
Clarke was booked into Cross County Jail. The Grizzlies issued no comment, with head coach Tuomas Iisalo stating he had no information on the matter.
