Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski set an MLB record Monday night, throwing 57 pitches over 100 mph in a dominant 5-1 win against the St. Louis Cardinals at American Family Field. The record, dating back to pitch tracking in 2008, was previously held by Hunter Greene of the Cincinnati Reds with 47.

Misiorowski allowed just one run on two hits over seven innings, striking out 12 batters - nine of them on fastballs over 100 mph. His fastball touched 103.4 mph three times. The 24-year-old right-hander now holds a 5-2 record with a 1.83 ERA and 100 strikeouts over 64 innings this season.

Manager Pat Murphy called the performance "magnificent." Misiorowski's scoreless streak ended at 29 1/3 innings, the third-longest in Brewers history. He has not allowed an extra-base hit in six straight starts.
