St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Masyn Winn was injured in a car crash hours after delivering a walk-off hit against the New York Mets.

The crash occurred on Interstate 64 after Winn's 2-1 victory in the 11th inning. His vehicle slipped on wet pavement, and he was the only occupant. Winn was hospitalized but suffered no injuries.

Winn, who went 1-for-4, batted .160 with four hits and two runs scored through six games this season. The Cardinals tied the game in the sixth inning thanks to a Nolan Gorman RBI. Gordon Graceffo pitched out of a jam in the 11th to secure the win.

The Mets’ only run came from a Juan Soto home run after Francisco Lindor was picked off at first base.
