The Chicago Bulls officially waived guard Jaden Ivey Monday following viral videos where he criticized the league. Franchise officials cited conduct detrimental to the team as the primary cause. In the footage, Ivey labeled the NBA's Pride Month celebration unrighteousness and questioned Catholic doctrine.

His comments drew attention given his mother, Niele Ivey, coaches at Notre Dame. The 24-year-old was acquired from the Detroit Pistons in a three-team deal prior to the season. He appeared in just four games for Chicago before the termination of his contract.

Originally selected fifth overall in the 2022 NBA Draft, Ivey showed early promise with the Pistons. Recent performance metrics indicated regression before the mid-season trade. The organization moves forward without the former All-Rookie selection.
