Formula One driver Franco Colapinto's "cat-like" reflexes prevented a potentially serious collision at the start of the Australian Grand Prix. Starting 16th, Colapinto narrowly avoided hitting Liam Lawson's car, which was slow off the line. He managed to steer his Alpine between Lawson's Racing Bulls and the concrete wall, continuing unscathed. The incident drew gasps from fellow drivers and praise from former racer Anthony Davidson, who described Colapinto's escape as "extraordinary."
"I was actually lucky to finish the race, as it almost ended at the start with a scary moment trying to avoid Lawson who was very slow off the line," Colapinto stated. "I almost went straight into the back of him and managed to see him at the last minute. I swerved to the right and squeezed between him and the pit wall."
