TORONTO - Collin Murray-Boyles, the Toronto Raptors' rookie centre, is expected to return on the team's five-game road trip after being upgraded to day-to-day. The 6-foot-7, 245-pound player has averaged 7.8 points, five rebounds and two assists per game in his first NBA season but hasn't played since Feb. 25.

Head coach Darko Rajakovic hinted that Murray-Boyles could be activated during the trip, which starts Wednesday against the Chicago Bulls. Murray-Boyles said he's eager to rejoin the team, despite some playful antics from veteran players, including filling his car with popcorn.

Point guard Immanuel Quickley praised Murray-Boyles for his basketball IQ and maturity, saying he acts like a veteran. With Jakob Poeltl injured and Sandro Mamukelashvili playing more on the perimeter, Murray-Boyles has earned 22 starts this season.

Trayce Jackson-Davis was recently assigned to the G League’s Raptors 905 as part of a long-term development plan.
