Coco Gauff stormed into the Miami Open final with a commanding 6-1, 6-1 victory over Karolina Muchova on Thursday-her sixth career WTA 1000 final.
After dropping the opening game, the American world No. 4 reeled off 12 of the next 13 games without reply. Muchova, 29, who won Doha earlier this season and defeated Victoria Mboko in the Miami quarters, unraveled under pressure, committing a flurry of unforced errors in the second set.
Gauff now leads their head-to-head 6-0. She will face either Aryna Sabalenka or Elena Rybakina in Saturday’s championship match.
