Former world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua will return to the ring on July 25 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This fight, billed as "The Comeback," will be against U.S.-based Albanian Kristian Prenga, a former kickboxer with a record of 20 wins and one defeat. This marks Joshua's first bout since a car accident last December.
Promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed that Joshua has signed a multi-fight deal starting with the July 25 bout. The fight is being positioned as a tune-up before a highly anticipated clash with fellow British heavyweight Tyson Fury, potentially scheduled for November. Hearn indicated that Fury recently had his own tune-up fight to prepare for the next engagement.
Joshua, who holds a professional record of 28 wins and four losses, last fought on December 19, securing a sixth-round knockout. He expressed his readiness to compete and reclaim his position in the ring.
