Italian soccer club Juventus reported a 2.5 million euro net loss in the first half of its fiscal year, a sharp contrast to a 16.9 million euro profit a year prior. The downturn is attributed to softened broadcasting and ticketing revenue. The club anticipates negative net results and operating cash flow for the full fiscal year ending June 30, 2026.
Revenue for the Turin-based club decreased by nearly 11 percent to 260.6 million euros between July and December. This decline was driven by weaker broadcasting and ticketing income, alongside reduced players' registration-rights revenue, with stronger sponsorships only partially offsetting the losses.
Juventus, a dominant force in Italian soccer until 2020, has faced financial challenges following an accounting scandal that led to a ban from European competitions for the 2023-2024 season.
