Linebacker Adam Bighill has retired from professional football, announcing his decision as a member of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Bighill, 37, spent six of his 13 CFL seasons with the Bombers, winning three Grey Cups with the club in 2019 and 2021.

He earned six CFL All-Star selections and was named the CFL's Most Outstanding Defensive Player three times. Bighill ranks second in Bombers franchise history with 430 defensive tackles.

He concluded his career with one season for the Calgary Stampeders but signed a one-day contract to retire with Winnipeg. Bighill is considered a strong candidate for the CFL Hall of Fame.
