HAMILTON - Kenny Lawler made a significant impact as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats defeated the B.C. Lions 41-27 on Friday night.

Lawler, with four catches for 81 yards and a touchdown, played a key role in the team’s success. Despite earlier games where he had limited receptions, Lawler focused on team contributions over personal stats. "I find much more happiness when everybody eats," he stated.

His performance builds upon an impressive season where he excelled in various receiving categories. Notably, his 49-yard touchdown grab before halftime extended Hamilton's lead significantly.

Quarterback Bo Mitchell praised Lawler, noting his ability to track the ball and make challenging receptions. Mitchell himself had a stellar game, completing 84% of his passes for 879 yards and eight touchdowns.

Mitchell emphasized the strong camaraderie and trust among receivers and play-calling, which complicates defenses' strategies.

After this win, Hamilton is tied atop the East Division, poised to continue their momentum against Winnipeg.

"Just keep our foot on the gas and play for 60 minutes," said Coach Milanovich.
