Speaking at the Canadian Grand Prix, Mekies referenced private conversations as his source. McLaren claims Lambiase will arrive as Chief Racing Officer, supporting Andrea Stella, but Mekies disagrees with the official job title.
Stella dismissed the claim as 'silly season' talk, stating his team is simply adding top talent like Lambiase to build a stronger leadership group. The move is set no later than 2028.
