Canadian tennis sensation Victoria Mboko advanced to the Miami Open quarter-finals with a commanding 7-6(4) 4-6 6-0 victory over Mirra Andreeva. The 18-year-old, seeded 10th, showcased her growing strength on hard courts, breaking her doubles partner and rival three times in the final set.

Former U.S. Open champion Andy Roddick lauded Mboko’s consistency, calling her a future Grand Slam winner. 'She’s making quarters or better in every event,' Roddick said on his podcast. 'Losing to Sabalenka doesn’t bother me - she handles pressure like a veteran.'

Mboko will face Karolina Muchova next after the Czech swept Alexandra Eala 6-0 6-2.
