Formula One team Racing Bulls is set to introduce significant upgrades at the upcoming Miami and Canadian Grands Prix. The schedule disruption, caused by Middle Eastern race cancellations, has led to a condensed upgrade rollout.
Team boss Alan Permane confirmed that a major upgrade initially planned for Bahrain will now debut in Miami. A second substantial upgrade, originally intended for Montreal, will follow shortly after. This results in a "quick double hit" of new components, with the latter upgrade effectively replacing the former soon after its introduction.
Racing Bulls currently sits seventh in the constructors' standings. Permane expressed confidence that these upgrades will enable the team to improve its position within the competitive midfield. The team has managed to score points in every race so far this season. Permane noted that while qualifying pace has been strong, race performance needs enhancement, a goal targeted by the new upgrades.
