Serena Williams is making her return to competitive tennis. The 44-year-old American, who won 23 Grand Slam singles titles before stepping away in 2022, has accepted a wildcard for the women's doubles at Queen's Club in London starting June 8.

While her partner hasn't been officially confirmed, reports say she'll play alongside Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko.

Williams hasn't competed since the 2022 US Open. Rumors of a comeback intensified after her name appeared on the ITIA reinstatement list in February.

"Queen's Club feels like the perfect place to begin this next chapter," Williams said. "Grass has given me some of the most meaningful moments of my career."

The all-time highest-earning female athlete, Williams has largely stayed away from tennis since retiring. She gave birth to her second daughter in 2023 and recently spoke about losing 31 pounds over eight months, though she didn't specify which weight loss drug she used. She has since become a spokesperson for Ro, a company selling GLP-1 medications.
