Tyson Fury's Father Claims Their Relationship Is 'Destroyed'

Boxer Tyson Fury and his father do not appear to have a close relationship, according to John Fury. 'My relationship with Tyson is destroyed,' he said during an appearance on Playbook Boxing. He attributed the rift to Tyson's decision to fight Oleksandr Usyk twice and his loss to Deontay Wilder.

Fury lost back-to-back bouts to Usyk, including a split decision in their first meeting and a unanimous decision in the rematch. He announced his retirement in January 2025 but later said he plans to return in 2026.

John believes Tyson's best days are behind him, saying many people tell him things that aren't true. 'He's not invincible,' he said. 'He hasn't been for a while.'
