Heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk is ready for a trilogy fight with Tyson Fury, openly taunting the British boxer as 'Greedy Belly.' The undefeated Ukrainian, who holds the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles, has beaten Fury, Anthony Joshua, and Daniel Dubois twice each over five years. He now faces Dutch kickboxer Rico Verhoeven in Egypt on May 23 but is prioritizing a third bout with Fury over other contenders.
Usyk posted a video saying, 'I am ready. Las Vegas, New York, Saudi Arabia - anything. Come on, Greedy Belly is my friend.' Fury responded: 'Greedy Belly is coming for a feast of rabbit pie. First, I will start with the chinless bum, Anthony Joshua, and knock him out. Then I am coming back for a rabbit pie. I am the cash cow.'
Joshua has a tune-up fight against Kristian Prenga on July 25 before a potential clash with Fury in November. Fury recently outclassed Arslanbek Makhmudov in London, his first bout since losing to Usyk again in October 2024.
Meanwhile, Daniel Dubois, who took the WBO belt from Fabio Wardley, is open to a rematch but faces pressure from mandatory challenger Moses Itauma. Dubois said: 'If the rematch happens, bring it on.' Promoter Frank Warren plans a fight for Itauma on August 8, with a title shot by year-end. Usyk could risk losing another title if he skips mandatory defenses.
