Max Verstappen, the four-time Formula One world champion, crashed out of the first session of Australian Grand Prix qualifying on Saturday. His Red Bull car lost grip and hit a barrier at Albert Park.
Verstappen skidded out at turn one but was unharmed and exited the car without recording a lap time. He reported on team radio that the car's rear axles locked down.
