Raffles Medical Group (RMG) is celebrating 50 years of continuous patient care. What began as two clinics in 1976 has grown into a network spanning 14 Asian cities.
The group's 50th anniversary heritage exhibition, held at Raffles Hospital, highlights its evolution through archival keepsakes and interactive elements. Visitors can experience virtual frontline healthcare roles using AI technology.
The exhibition details RMG's growth, not just in physical expansion and medical technology, but also in the relationships built between patients, families, and healthcare teams. It showcases items such as nursing uniforms, Dr. Loo Choon Yong's call bag, and patient feedback materials, illustrating a half-century commitment to providing the best care.
Landmark medical cases and crisis response efforts, including during the COVID-19 pandemic, are also chronicled. RMG established its first mass vaccination centre within four days and administered five million vaccine doses.
Founded by Dr. Loo and Dr. Alfred Loh with the philosophy "To our patients, our best," RMG expanded by strategically relocating to Singapore's commercial hub, offering 24-hour airport clinics, and integrating services with day surgery centres and hospitals.
Internationally, RMG replicated its integrated group practice model across Asia, opening facilities in Shanghai and Chongqing. The group has served over 2.8 million patients and 7,000 corporate clients in 14 cities.
The exhibition, themed "Caring Across Generations," continues until the end of the year at Raffles Hospital lobby and is free to attend.
