IONNA is set to deploy its fast-charging stations at over 350 Circle K locations nationwide. This expansion adds to IONNA's existing partnerships with other major travel plaza and gas station chains, including Sheetz, Wawa, and Casey's.
The U.S. currently has approximately 17,557 fast-charging locations with 79,564 plugs. The majority of these are NACS plugs, with 4,739 locations featuring 42,879 plugs, a standard now adopted by most new EVs. Tesla Supercharger sites account for a significant portion of this, with 3,334 locations and 39,993 plugs.
There are also numerous CCS1 locations totaling 38,157 plugs across 14,193 sites, and 7,585 locations with 11,286 CHAdeMO plugs. IONNA currently operates 108 spots with 1,028 plugs. Other major networks include Electrify America with 1,133 locations and 5,539 plugs, and EVgo with 1,192 locations and 5,022 plugs.
