Authorities are investigating 19 reported cases of gastroenteritis at a MapleBear preschool in Eunos, Singapore. The affected individuals, including 17 students and two staff members, began showing symptoms on Tuesday.

All individuals are recovering well and none required hospitalization. The Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) is closely monitoring the situation and ensuring adherence to infection prevention guidelines.

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) is also involved, emphasizing the importance of good food safety practices for food operators. SATS Catering, which supplied lunch meals to the preschool, stated that the meals were prepared under stringent protocols and are undergoing laboratory testing. No issues have been reported from other schools served by the same meal batch.
